Umesh Pai is a young talented artist, likes to include variety in his
paintings. His work include still-lifes, landscapes and portraits. Several
of his earlier paintings are in charcoal and pencil, but later he developed
his taste in oil painting. His most of the productions are oil on canvas.
Being a software engineer, he has started his art career as a hobby,
which he has taken-up seriously. His color selection ability, deep
knowledge about light and shadow has created few astonishing paintings.
He has taken
several painting courses under the guidance of Chad Hughes. Now he works
from his home studio in Raleigh, North Carolina. Artistic gene from his
family adds natural advantage to his talent. Self encouragement in
the painting led him to improve his style and confidence.
